宿題：

週あたり 1-2 時間. Homework will be included in each section. While this homework is completely optional, it is highly recommended for the learner to complete outside of class, as the homework is designed to reinforce what the student is learning in class.

There will be an informal assessment of the learner's progress periodically. A more formal assessment can be done per the parents' request.

Beginner - Intermediate レベル向け

In these tutoring sessions, your learner will improve his or her reading skills. Whether your student needs more phonics instruction, phonological awareness, support in comprehension strategies, or a combination of any or all of these, each session will be personally tailored to your learner's unique learning needs. Our tutoring sessions are fun, engaging, and interactive. I implement a variety of methods and materials into my classes, including games, discussion, slides, videos, lecture, reading together.

受講に必要なもの

Learners will need access to a printer, a 3 ring binder, paper, pencils, and art supplies such as crayons or markers. Parents will be informed of any additional supplies at least a week in advance.

教師の専門知識と資格

My first experience tutoring in reading was as a senior in high school to elementary aged students. Seeing them learn and succeed instilled in me a passion for teaching and tutoring. I have since then continued to teach and tutor privately, both in person and online. I have also taught in private schools where I have worked with teaching students to read. Now it is my delight to teach my own children at home how to read.
