In this class, students will read a reader's theater script that is a fairy tale. I have several for the students to take a vote to choose one. Fluency is built by rereading. Many students do not realize that good readers sometimes reread stories that they already read in order to improve on how their reading sounds. This class focuses on "acting through expression" while ensuring all students can decode the text as well. Students will have the opportunity to change roles as well. Come and enjoy a time of theater fun!

Hi! I'm Ashley! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and English as a Second Language. Literacy is always at the forefront of my lessons. I use a lot of songs and creativity to help students learn various content. I have been teaching for over ten years.
Additionally to the public school system in the United States, I also taught at an international school overseas! I believe every child has a unique learning potential and it is my goal not only to teach, but also to help my students understand how they learn best, too! I love to sing, dance and act!
