このクラスで学べること

In this mindful Yoga class, taught in the traditional, gentle-paced approach of synchronizing body/mind/breath, like fluid meditation, students will learn to become aware of how they are feeling, and select from a myriad of yogic techniques to manage stress and recover or maintain balance. This sense of wellbeing and being grounded, will serve as a platform from which Learners may then interact in a way that feels reassuring to them. They will also develop a wholesome body & mind discipline that is well known to support wellness and wellbeing at all levels. Each class will be unique, meeting the students' needs at the time, so Learner may re-enroll as many times as desired to learn even more poses, breathing techniques, and other yogic practices that promote this integrated wellbeing.

My professional background includes a B.A. in Psychology (summa cum laude), an M.A. in Liberal Studies (both from Rollins College, Winter Park, FL); I am a Yoga Educator certified through Yoga Alliance with their highest qualifications (Experienced 500 Hrs., Yoga Alliance Continued Education Provider, aka as YACEP, and a Lead Yoga Teacher Trainer); I am a college professor of Yoga, both as a humanities and P.E. course; continue to conduct Independent Studies since the early 1980; I am also certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists as a registered Yoga Therapist. I worked ten years at the Maitland Counseling Center with Pre-K - HS children and adults. My teaching experience began in 2007, and I teach Yoga, Meditation and Humanities in College and at the studio.
