Growing up can be exciting and overwhelming all at once! This is the perfect time to start learning the skills and vocabulary to land the job of their dreams. In this course, students will discuss and practice their interviewing skills. Students have the option of providing a job description and/or resume that the instructor can use to personalize interview question. If this is not available, students will be provided with a list of common interview questions to prepare with. Students will receive one-on-one coaching and feedback regarding: - Professional presence - Interview etiquette - Content of their responses - and more. Our classroom is a collaborative community that is a safe space for sharing doubts and excitement related to preparing for adulthood. Students are expected to be respectful as they learn together, but also be ready to have fun, be themselves, and ask as many questions as necessary. Students are welcomed to share their personal experiences in class for additional guidance. The primary goal of my classes is that students leave more confident and prepared to define their future. No previous courses or experience required.
