Why This Class: The class is designed for all levels and is tailored to each student’s individual needs, guided by the instructor’s experience. students can use this class to improve their Mandarin proficiency, receive assistance with schoolwork, and explore Mandarin and/or Taiwanese/Chinese culture. Materials: I can utilize either the student’s materials or my own (e.g., Mandarin Chinese School materials) at no additional charge. Example Topics: * Pronunciation: Correct pronunciation is essential when learning a foreign language. I assist students in mastering the five tones and provide a structured approach to learning Mandarin Chinese. * Sentence Patterns: Learn how to construct sentences in a native way. * Practical Daily Life Conversations: Understand and use common phrases with cultural context. * Vocabulary Exploration, Writing, and Chinese Character Recognition: Dive into vocabulary, writing practice, and recognizing Chinese characters. Learning a foreign language can be challenging, but I am here to help you achieve your goals!

My name is Vivien. I grew up in Taiwan. Mandarin Chinese is my first language. I studied in Australia and the U.S.A. so I know how it feels to learn a second language. I have been a Mandarin Chinese teacher, translator, interpreter and an advisor for international students. I love teaching Mandarin Chinese and my experiences help me to help my students reach their goals smoothly and happily.
