認定読書専門家によるプライベート読書評価（5～13歳）

In this private reading assessment, your child's reading level will be determined as well as areas of strength and need by a certified K-12 reading specialist.  Using the Qualitative Reading Inventory (QRI), Phonological Awareness Screening Test (PAST), Words Their Way Developmental Spelling Assessment (DSA), and Core Phonics Assessment the following areas of literacy will be assessed: 

-Alphabet knowledge (K-2)
-Concept of word (K-2)
-RAN (Rapid Automized Naming)
-Phonological awareness including words and syllables, blending, segmentation, and pseudoword decoding
-Sight word reading
-Fluency, including accuracy, rate and expression
-Comprehension, including explicit and implicit questioning and retell or summarizing
-Spelling
-Quick Write
-Adolescent or Elementary Reading Attitude Survey

After the assessment, you'll receive a detailed report explaining each area of testing and your child's scores. Also included will be your child's reading level (listed as grade level,  Fountas and Pinnell level and Lexile level), areas of strengths and needs, plus helpful strategies to encourage their progress in each literacy area. Further questions can be answered after you view the report.

*Please note, this class may run shorter than the 40 allotted minutes. It depends on when I have all the information needed to write your child's report.
