(Please contact me directly to discuss scheduling and content) The structure of each class will be dependent on each learner’s age, pace and specific literacy needs (the latter being communicated fully with families prior to any lessons being developed and taught). Examples of focus points: — Increasing vocabulary — Engaging points of view in full, detailed sentences — Developing a confident literacy voice — Diving into story elements (i.e. character analysis, cause and effect, problem/ solution) — Making text to life applications and connections — Story sequencing — Reviewing/ honing letter sound identification — Short and long vowel knowledge — Beginning/ intermediate/ transition-based writing — Paragraph targeting and strengthening — Strengthening elementary-based writing skills My lessons are truly created and tailored to each child’s need. Communication on the environment I build with your learner is a key aspect to the success (and warm, encouraging fun!) that we will have on our literacy journey.
