Ms. Colleen is a bilingual (French and English) teacher who has been sharing fun language lessons with children for many years. Her patient and calm teaching style helps children who are new to foreign language learning feel confident and at ease. In this private tutoring session, one or more of the following topics can be covered; Greetings, Colours, Food, Days of the Week, Numbers, Parts of the Body, Weather, and Clothing. Learners who are taking French classes can also ask for help with the concepts they are learning in their classes. Ms. Colleen uses songs, stories, and games to help children grasp language concepts. Depending on what your child would like to learn, many different topics can be covered one private lesson at a time:

Hi, I'm Ms. Colleen.
I'm an Early Childhood Educator and home educating parent. I have my degree in Child Study from Mount Saint Vincent University and I have been teaching for 28 years. I am also a certified EFL (English as a Foreign Language) instructor. I speak both English and French. In 2020 I discovered my love of teaching online. I guess every cloud really does have a silver lining! My family and I live in beautiful Atlantic Canada. I'm excited to share fun and interactive learning activities with your children! Teaching is truly my passion and that shines through in my lessons. My teaching style is calm, patient, and warm. I believe that childhood is a journey, not a race. I love to learn new things and I try to instill a love of learning through my lessons. I love to laugh. I like to incorporate singing into my lessons because I believe it helps learners relax and absorb information, especially when learning a new language.
