In this tutoring class, we will work specifically on your learner's own reading, writing, speaking, grammar and spelling goals. Reading is taught from the perspective of the Science of Reading and focuses on phonemic awareness, phonological awareness, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. Spelling is also taught using the Science of Reading principles, since reading is a process of decoding written language into sounds and spelling is a process of encoding sounds to written language. This class is suitable for students who need help completing their English homework, or who need to improve specific skills. This class is also well suited to students who are learning English as a second language or who come from families where other languages are spoken at home.
