Private Art Lesson, One Time: Exploring Drawing and Painting Techniques 1:1:
*The student will learn new techniques for media of their choice, drawing or painting.
*The student will learn ways to practice their new skills.
*The student will learn how what they learned connects to the art world.

I am a certified art teacher in Virginia (USA), and have over 20 years of art-teaching experience, from ages 4 to 18.  As a practicing artist, I have work in private and corporate collections here in the US. I have been teaching art on Outschool since 2020.

Assessment in this private lesson is informal and responsive to student's individual needs and interests, as we explore new techniques.

During my art instruction, I offer different ways to approach drawing problems, model being okay with mistakes, and encourage artists to work at their own pace.

This private class is appropriate for beginners or artists with some experience.
