Welcome to my ESL classroom! I'm Jessie B and I am so excited you're here to learn English with me! I welcome all English language learners- whether your child is an advanced English speaker or just starting out as a beginner... this is the class for you!

In this ongoing class that meets weekly, students will practice their English language skills with an experienced and certified online English teacher. I have over 3 years of experience teaching English online to students around the world and have completed over 5,000 classes through the VIPKid ESL platform with over 3,500 five star reviews from parents! In this private tutoring class, students will develop confidence while improving their speaking, reading, writing and conversational ESL skills. The class will run in an upbeat and hands on format, constantly using TPR (total physical response) in order for your child to grasp and understand new English vocabulary. This class will be very interactive and customized based on your child's needs. If parents have a request for something specific to work on, I can accommodate that, as well as just using this time for conversational practice if the student desires it! Otherwise, we will follow a customized ESL curriculum based on your student's English and ability levels. I will be using the Crystal Clear ESL program, which is aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). I place an emphasis on conversation skills so class will always begin and end with an opportunity for your student to just talk in a relaxed environment. I have a patient, positive and encouraging teaching style and I always aim to build your child's confidence in every single class! I look forward to seeing you in the classroom and practicing our English together!

Topics for individualized tutoring may include:
-Basic greetings/informal conversation
-Letters/Numbers
-Family
-Hobbies
-Weather/Days of the Week/Months of the Year

With a more advanced curriculum, you can expect see:
-Career Discussions
-Reading of different types of texts
-Advanced Grammar practice

Students will build upon their foundational English skills, strengthening specifically their reading, writing, speaking and listening abilities. Students will improve their confidence levels in speaking English conversationally as well as through the interactive curriculum provided.

If students prefer to use a detailed curriculum during class, I will be implementing the Crystal Clear ESL program or the Learnaling ESL program.

Students will need to bring a pencil or pen and paper to class. Please also come with any questions you may have, or a specific skill to work on if possible!
