このクラスで学べること

Making slime is a fun and hands-on craft that doubles as a science experiment with the opportunity for a chemistry lesson. I grew up making slime in science class, so it’s been cool to see how popular slime has become on social media! With some practice, you’ll be a slime master in no time.

Once you’ve got the hang of it, you can exercise your creativity by making different combinations of slime colors and mix-ins, or adding other ingredients that change the texture, consistency, and appearance of your slime.

In this class, we’ll start out by making a basic slime. I’ll walk through the steps and have each student follow along. Once our slimes are complete, we’ll do a few activities that will help demonstrate some slime science, and I’ll give some insight as to why slime moves the way it does. It’s a great chance for slime newbies to learn more about the mixing process, but it’s also an opportunity for slime experts to learn the “why” behind slime and how it works.

See you soon, slimers!

A parent should assist the student in mixing their slime.
受講に必要なもの
Here’s what you’ll need for your slime:
-1 bottle of Elmer’s glue (white, clear, metallic, glow in the dark, any kind!)
-1 cup of water (divided into 1/2 cup and 1/2 cup)
-1/4 tsp of Borax
-2 bowls
-2 spoons for mixing
-Confetti, sequins, glitter, or beads (any color)
-A glass mason jar, pint-sized

Additional notes on materials:
1. If you’re using plain white glue or plain clear glue, you might want to have some food coloring handy to add some color to your slime!
2. If you choose not to use Borax, you can also use contact lens solution/saline solution (as long as it contains boric acid and sodium borate). If you go this route, you’ll also want to have some baking soda handy! Please also let me know ahead of time if you’ll be using contact solution so I can provide separate instructions.

Hello! I'm Ms. Lindsay. I teach classes on a variety of topics, including video games, anime, baking, crafts, and more! These are my personal interests and hobbies that I spend a ton of time learning about myself, and I'm excited that I have the opportunity to share my love of these topics with others.

In 2017, I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, and my focuses were art and business. I have experience working with young children through leading storytime/arts & crafts at my local library, as well as tutoring students in English and Reading. I have also worked with foreign students who speak different languages to strengthen their pronunciation and conversational skills.

When it comes to my teaching style, I believe it’s important to have fun in class, and focus on students' interests to keep them engaged in their education. I also work hard to foster a positive and uplifting classroom environment, to boost confidence and encourage students to be proud of who they are! Ultimately, students should look forward to having class, instead of feeling like it's boring or something that they're required to do.

I'm looking forward to meeting all of those awesome learners out there. See you in class!
