Welcome to our social club! Come and make new friends from across the globe in a safe space. You will meet people with similar experiences to yourself. This is a student led class- I will moderate and facilitate discussion. Talk about hot topics in the world, discuss your hobbies, well you can talk about anything you wish...it is your social time! I will encourage and aid discussion whenever necessary. I have a policy for all of my classes. We must be kind. We must respect each other. We must not be rude. Each week I shall provide a topic of conversation. This could be a current world issue, a discussion about our passions or a topic suggested by one of the learners. Students will practice public speaking in a safe space. Students are asked to bring a topic to discuss each week, this may be a piece of art they are working on, a social issue they are facing or a homework task for example.

I was a pastoral leader in my previous teaching post- I lead and introduced the LGBTQ inclusion program at the school. I implemented many changes that led to students feeling comfortable and happy in school again, I still receive messages of thanks now. I contacted an ex trans student for advice on this group. They feel that there’s not much to support trans teens still (10 years later!) and a trans specific social group really excited them. レビュー
