The purpose of the class is to help develop confidence in the delivery of your speech and communication skills. 
~ All learning styles are welcome! 
~ I have experience with GT, ESL, dyslexia, autism, and various neurodivergent learning styles.

Please be specific in your reading and speaking goals for your private session. I have a variety of reading material and conversation prompts that we can use, or you can provide your own; in this case, please send me the materials through private Outschool message in advance. I must be able to see, present, and annotate on the text during the session. I will return the annotated copy to you at the end of our session. In addition, you will have access to your class video. Viewing and hearing your own unique speaking style is a wonderful learning tool! 

Here are some examples of what we can do during your own private session:
~ Conversation skills in American English.
~ Reading aloud with basic comprehension and a focus on general inflection and fluency skills in American English.
~ Reading comprehension and analysis.
~ Presentation skills; examples include reading literature, essays, and speeches.
~ Interview practice and tips. Yes, I can interview you. Please tell me in advance what job you are seeking to do. (Your identity and safety are of vital importance to me; I will NOT ask for your full name, address, or hometown. Do NOT provide this information to me).
~ General discussion skills and practice.
~ We can even casually talk about unusual vocabulary, slang, and idioms found in American English.
~ Brainstorming, sharing, and talking about your creative and academic ideas.

Here is what you can expect during a typical 25-minute session:
* 2 - 5 minutes of introduction topics and class goals
* 15 - 20 minutes of you speaking or reading aloud (with pauses and tips)
* 2 - 5 minutes of a summarization of our session and the creation of your fluency goals

Once our session is complete, I will post a summary of our session and any related materials in the main classroom. The class video is usually visible in the main classroom within a few minutes but can, take up to 24 hours to upload.
