Your child will have an overall assessment at the began of your child enrollment and again at the end of 9 months of being enrolled in the class. Your child will get assessed on their letters, numbers, colors and shapes followed by an assessment every quarter. The first assessment will be on the letters, numbers, colors and shapes that they have previous learned for that quarter.

Fall Challenge: Cutley Wind Chime

Give your child a paper plate for them to color. While they
are coloring, punch 8 holes around the
edges of your child’s paper plate. Then, thread the paper
plates with 8 pieces of yarn and tie knots on the yarn so
the yarn is hanging down. Let them glue the cutlery to
the yarn. Finally, staple one long yarn to the top of the
paper plate to hang the chimes up in the classroom.

Prep-work  for mom - Cut enough yarn to give each child 8 pieces of
6” yarn and one piece of 12” yarn for each child

Gather - paper plates, 8 pieces of plastic cutlery per child,
yarn, crayons, hole punch, scissors, stapler

Thanksgiving Challenge: Make Pinecone Turkeys

Give your child a pinecone, some feathers, a black pom pom, googly
eyes, and a felt beak, waddle, and feet. Show them how
to stick the small end of the feathers in glue and then
into the back of the pinecone. When they have enough
feathers, have them glue the feet to the bottom of the
pinecone, the pom pom on the front for the head, the
eyes, beak, and waddle to the pom pom.

Prep-work for mom- Out of felt, cut 2 feet, a yellow triangle beak,
and a worm like red waddle for each child all proportionate
to the size of pinecones you are using.

Gather - many different colored feathers and a large black
pom pom for each child, both proportionate to the size
of pinecone you’ll be using, a pinecone for each child, 2
googly eyes per child, tacky glue

Christmas Challenge: Popsicle Stick Christmas Tree

NOTES/SUPPLIES Ornaments. 

Give your  child their baggy of sticks. Have
them paint the jumbo craft stick brown and the popsicle
sticks green. Glue the popsicle sticks onto the big one with
the longest skinny sticks at the bottom and the shortest
at the top. Let dry and finish decorating tomorrow.

Prep work for mom- Cut one regular sized popsicle stick in half.
Cut an inch off of each end of two popsicle sticks and
discard ends. Put the four resulting pieces –plus- two
regular popsicle sticks –plus- one jumbo craft stick in a
baggy.

Gather – one jumbo craft stick for each child, five regular
popsicle sticks for each child, baggies, brown and green
paint, paint brushes, glue
