Learners will engage in sensory play, which allows them to actively use multiple senses (see, hear, smell, touch, taste) as they explore our materials of the week as well as the world around them. They will practice social skills with introductions and show & tell. They will make observations as they engage in sensory play. They will improve on body and environmental awareness. Engaging in sensory play leads to a smoother transition into more complex activities as the learner gets older. These include complex and multi-step learning, cognitive growth, language, gross motor, fine motor, and problem solving skills.
