This is a trial class for my three classes Prek Math Small group class, my PreK Math advanced Level 2 class, or one of my kindergarten math classes. You can book it just for fun or try it out to see if your child may want to join the ongoing class. Your child will enjoy learning about shapes, patterns, numbers, counting, lots of fun math games, lots of fun movement activities. I always start my class with a hello song, then we move into calendar time and we practice saying the date. Next, we do a math warm up activity that is usually a review of basic concepts put to movement such as musical numbers. After our warm up, we move into the skill focus for that day which may be measurement, counting, number recognition, number writing, patterns, sorting, graphing, positional words, adding/subtracting, word problems, or 2D/3D shapes. After learning the skill, we will have a guided practice time and I will ask individual student's questions and see if they need any help with the new skill. Last, we sing a goodbye song to say goodbye to our friends. I hope to see you in class soon!

Any worksheets given(I will have any worksheets displayed during class if your child does not have them) Dry erase board and dry erase marker or extra paper Please bring items that the student's can count to class such as coins or other small objects. If there are anymore supplies that are needed then I will send a message the week before class begins.

Hello Everyone!! I love to teach fun and engaging classes for children ages 3-8. I enjoy being silly and singing silly songs with the class. My puppets and my own pets often visit the class. I have been teaching Prekindergarten for the past 8 years and before that, I taught kindergarten for 9 years. I love the energy that the young learners bring to class.
When I am not teaching, you will find me hanging out with my family around a camp fire or traveling around the United States. I am also a Girl Scout leader in my community and love taking my Girl Scout troop on many adventures including camping trips, field trips and hiking trips. We like to earn a lot of STEM and nature badges. I love the outdoors and try to get out as much as possible. When I taught in the local public school classroom, I would often take my class outdoors to teach if it was a nice day. So come join me in class and see what adventures we will take!
