In this course, students will learn in great detail about the devastating volcanic eruption that destroyed and killed the civilization and city of Pompeii, Italy in the year 79 AD. Students will learn secrets/interesting facts about this lost city and active discussion will take place throughout the class. Additionally, students will learn about the life that existed in Pompeii prior to its eruption.

Some questions that will be answered:

1. What happened to the ancient Roman city of Pompeii in 79 A.D.?
2. Why is Pompeii considered “the most important archaeological site in the Roman world”?

Hi everyone!

I'm Ms. Veronica, not only a passionate teacher- but also a passionate learner. I have a special love for history, politics, psychology, and languages! These are the subjects I will be offering to teach, with a special emphasis on history. Learning about history is not just memorizing dates and times, but also to understand how people truly lived. With a Degree from UOFT I have acquired a lot of knowledge in these areas which I would love to share with others. I have quite some years of teaching experience- where I have taught history, piano, languages, and taught top University Debate Club leaders different debating techniques and styles. I, myself, am a forever student and believe that one can never know too much.
