🚀  Class Description: 
Embark on a journey to become a Pokémon Trading Card Game master! This four week class is for students who want to learn how to play Pokemon TCG Live, a digital version of the Pokemon trading card game. 

There are pre-built decks available to use. So even if your student doesn't have a huge Pokemon card collection, they will be able to participate. Plus, every class, your student's teacher will share a special code so they can earn more cards online. 

If there is time, we will also have a short Pokemon card show and tell where students can show off their favorite physical cards.

Our smaller class sizes guarantee quality attention given to each individual! 
Rather than getting lost inside a giant class or being isolated inside a Zoom breakout room, our teachers play along on their screens and get to know every individual, and learners are given a chance to form true bonds of friendship. 

⚡ Course Overview:
We will cover the basics of how to play, how to build a deck, and basic game strategies. During class, we will also play the Pokemon TCG Live together. We will meet once a week for four weeks. 

Students need to have a Pokemon TCG Live account. We will share gamer tags in order to battle together.

If your child is already familiar with Pokemon TCG and wants to play with other students, please see our intermediate or advanced classes. 

Weekly Schedule

Week 1- Introduction to card types and exploring card features
-Explain the different types of cards
-Explore how to use trainers, Pokemon, items, and energy
-Analyze pre-built decks in Pokemon TCG Live

Week 2- Gameplay Mechanics and Rules
-Turn structure and phases
-Initiating battles and resolving attacks
-Utilizing trainer, item, and Pokemon cards effectively

Week 3- Example Battle
-Watch a real game 
-Analyze and explore strategies used in the game
-Look at different deck structures

Week 4- Choosing a Deck
-Examine premade built decks on TCG Live
-Discuss the benefits and downfalls of different decks

After your child has finished this class, they are ready to join the weekly TCG Live battle class also taught by Miss Devyn's Video Game Universe.
