📘 What:
Pokemon need YOUR help!!

At the Happy Pokemon Meditation Camp, Pikachu, Charizard, and Dragonite learn meditation with Mr. Fart Monster. He is a very nice monster and the Pokemon love learning meditation with him. However, he eats way too many servings of beans, and…let’s face it, it stinks all over! The Pokemon need to escape and different types of Pronounballs are the magic tools!

There are three places where the Pokemon hang out to practice meditation. The Blue Lake, The Sparkly Waterfall, and the Happy Cow Farm.

The Blue Lake is Dragonite’s favorite place because he loves to save kids from drowning.
Here he learns Peaceful Flying Meditation, which he loves doing because it makes him feel very peaceful and even more eager to help others. After, lunch, however… it gets really stinky, so Dragonite MUST escape. The Pronounballs are the Flying Singular and Plural Nouns. If Dragonite solves the clues correctly, he can escape through the Laughing Cloud.

The Sparkly Waterfall is Charizard’s favorite place. Charizard has a very quick temper so he enjoys The Waterfall Meditation very much because it helps him calm down and be more peaceful and relaxed. After lunch, though…it gets really icky, so Charizard MUST escape. The Pronounballs are the Melting Common, Proper, and Possessive Nouns. If he solves the clues correctly, he’ll be able to unlock the Ticklish Tree Lock and escape! Will you help Pikachu escape the Blue Lake?!

The Happy Chicken Coop is Pikachu’s favorite place. Pikachu loves learning the Light Bulb Meditation because having so much electricity in his body makes him very hyper and jumpy, and this meditation helps him calm down and relax. After dinner, though, the air around the farm gets really rotten, so Pikachu MUST escape. The Pronounballs are the Electric Personal, Possessive, and Indefinite Pronouns! If he solves the clues correctly, he’ll be able to break the Jumpy Rooster Lock and escape!

🐶 Audience
This class is perfect for advanced kindergarteners, first graders, or second graders, who want to review pronoun usage.

Camp breakdown:
✅ 1st Meeting
We will review Singular and Plural Nouns as well as Subject-Verb agreement by solving fun clues that will help Dragonite escape the Blue Lake. I will also guide them into Dragonite’s or Peaceful flying meditation: we imagine we are a very peaceful Dragonite. We focus our attention on his wings. When the wings go up, we inhale; when the wings go down, we exhale. If any thoughts pop up, we notice them, let them, and bring our attention back to our wings.

✅ 2nd Meeting
We will review Common, Proper, and Possessive Nouns by solving clues that will help Charizard escape the Sparkly Waterfall. I will also guide them into the Waterfall meditation, in which learners focus their attention on the sound of a waterfall that will play in the background. When any thoughts pop up, we notice them, let them go, and redirect our attention to the sound of the waterfall.

✅ 3rd Meeting

We will review Personal, Possessive, and Indefinite Pronouns by solving clues that will help Pikachu escape the Happy Chicken Coop. I will also guide them into Pikachu’s or The Light Bulb Meditation: we imagine we have a beautiful light bulb in our hearts. We focus our attention on that light bulb; we feel it giving us warmth, light, and love. We need to pay attention to it all the time so it doesn’t fuse! Whenever thoughts pop in, we notice them, let them go, and return our attention to the light bulb in our hearts.
