Join us for our Poetry Cafe where we will be interacting with the poem called, “Don’t Quit!” Much like a cafe or coffee shop, students will be encouraged to bring their own “coffee” (water, juice, milk) along for our study! Poems are an integral part of life and learning. Poems offer us opportunities to learn many different skills; such as: reading, rhyming, connecting, questioning, reflecting, and vocabulary! We will be reading, analyzing, notetaking, and discussing the poem, “Don’t Quit!” during our one-time class. This poem is particularly fitting for students as it teaches a wonderful lesson, don’t quit! Students are asked to bring a few materials along with a printed or written version of the poem. No experience required. Looking forward to our Poetry Cafe, cheers!

I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education. In addition, I hold a Master's degree in Professional Development in Education.
I taught elementary school until starting my own family. While teaching elementary school, I taught all of the subjects and I LOVED them all! In addition to loving all of the school subjects, I also have many hobbies and passions that I am excited to be able to share with the Outschool family!
