The learning goals are to inspire students in the art of poetry and photography and to grow their creativity. 

I am the author of the book 'Carry Me Along' which a poem about grief geared toward children. I wrote this poem and took the photography and arranged it for the book. The goal of the photography is to find beauty in a single image or something ordinary. The goal of the poem is to help with the journey of grief and missing a loved one. I am also the author of 'Lost Poems of a Functioning Mother' which is a collection of poetry through the journey of babyloss (stillborn and miscarried children) and how to cope with that type of loss. I have been a certified bereavement doula for five years and I also have a Masters of Teaching Ministries and Bachelor of Homeschooling Ministries.
