Students will read and apply notes and symbols on the music staff. 
Students will apply music reading on the staff through playing various songs, as fluently as possible. 
Students will learn at least 3 major scales and arpeggios. 

This course relies heavily on materials from Interactive Piano Method, provided through a studio license. The website is www.carolmatzpiano.com Music is sent through PDF files or families may choose to purchase a hard copy book. That link will be provided upon enrollment, if requested. Other sources include music from www.cascademethod.com This music is also provided through a studio license. 
Parents will have the option of signing up  for online activities through www.carolmatzpiano.com This is for the online quizzes/activities mentioned in the class structure, weekly lessons. If doing this, an account would be required. A link will be proved for the families to sign up. No personal contact information will be shared. Log-in information will be posted on the classroom page. Otherwise, access to this can be through class time through the teacher sign in only. 

The other website mentioned, www.cascademethod.com does not require any parent sign in. It is just noting material used in this class.
