In this class, we will be looking at all the different parts of the ear and also how sound waves are affected in the ear. After that, we will look at all the different levels of hearing and then look at how an audiologist records a person hearing. The class will also look at different ways that hearing impaired people are able to hear and the different technology that is available. Your child may not currently be around a person who is hearing impaired but in the future they will be able to understand what it means to be hearing impaired. The class will be structured with a nearpod where the students are able to interact in the nearpod but we will also be able to talk about different situations around them. There will also be video clips to help them understand the different levels of hearing. At the end of the class we will play a game.
