I was a professional photographer and scrapbooker when my kids were younger and would actually smile for the camera. ;) I've had over 100 of my photos published in national scrapbook magazines over the past 20 years. I have also taught art classes at a private K-8 school for the past 15 years and teaching my students photography every year was one of my favorite lessons. Why LEGO? It turns a sometimes boring subject into a high interest subject. I have found that not only does building LEGO decrease anxiety, it gives students a creative jumping off point and a fun subject. The more interested they are in what they are learning, the more information they retain.
