このクラスで学べること
This course is for beginning, intermediate, or advanced students who have an interest in filmmaking. Our focus will be on learning to control the frame. Understanding the fundamental shots (e.g. Long shot, Close shot, Low angle shot) and the different film genres will be the focus of our learning objectives. This photography course will be the beginning of an understanding of Cinematography. If we can set up and control the frame of a photograph, then we can set the scene for a movie....
Students will improve their understanding of the cinematic frame as well as the different conventions of cinematic genre. For example, one activity is to control the light and shadows within the frame to create a scene that works for a thriller.
I hold a terminal MFA in Cinema Production. I currently teach media production and theory courses at a large, accredited university in the U.S.
