What will be taught: This class is perfect for an emergent reader who is just beginning their reading journey. We will read simple sentences such as "Pop got on the mat". This is a great pre-reading course as well for kids who are still mastering letter sounds. In this ongoing group class, we will focus on phonemic awareness skills in a fun and engaging way. I received a certificate for IMSE's Phonological Awareness course based on Orton-Gillingham. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. I received my Teacher Certificate in Idaho in 2011, which allowed me to teach Reading/Writing for 7th and 12th grade for 2 years. I received my TESOL certificate and taught ESL for 5 years.
No supplies, but you can bring a pop-it toy for beginner CVC blending if applicable.
