In this class, students will learn the beginning blends "st, fl," and "cl" in a fun Super Mario way. This class is great for kinethestic learners! Students will have a chance to practice blending words using body movements/actions. We will also create a fun craft to help continue to practice blending words at home. 
      I will use different movement activities following fun slides to help kids remember and practice the different sounds/blends. We will use body movements that Super Mario does such as running in place or jumping, to have fun while practicing phonics. This class is designed for kinesthetic learners who learn best using physical movement rather than sitting still. Students can learn to read and blend sounds through actions! 
     After some movement exercises, we will jump into our fun Mario craft! Using supplies listed, we will create a fun Mario scene that they can use to practice blending words at home. Students will need to have the worksheet printed off before class and have supplies ready. Students can use the Mario craft to continue to blend additional blends and digraphs. Learning to read can and should be fun! I look forward to meet you!
