Phonics Fun for Reading Rookies is one-on-one tutoring is designed specifically for 3rd grade students who are struggling with reading. Utilizing the Science of Reading and evidence-based instructional strategies, this program aims to build foundational literacy skills, boost reading confidence, and foster a love for reading. My personalized approach ensures that your student's unique needs are met through targeted, engaging, and effective instruction.  I braid together language comprehension such as background knowledge, and vocabulary; and word recognition including multisensory  phonological awareness, decoding (and spelling) and sight recognition. When done slowly with lots of repetition the end result is skilled reading: fluent execution and coordination of word recognition and text comprehension. Both decodable texts and target age literature are included.
