In this course, students will be given guided practice problems to calculate the percent of change and to calculate simple interest. This should not be the student's first exposure to this mathematical operation. Students will be given immediate feedback, guided error correction, and reteaching as needed during the class. Strategies such as using visual models to find answers will be demonstrated as needed. Students should have a basic understanding of converting percents into decimals and fractions before attending this class.
