Are you a kid who loves watching endless youtube DIY videos? Do you have awesome party ideas in your mind? 
Do you want to know how to re-create these beautiful and often expensive events in $20, $50, and $100 budgets? 

If you need help taking all this awesomeness out of your head and transform them into spectacular events then this is the class for you!  

In this 3-day class, students aged 10-14 will learn the full art of event planning and design. They will be able to know the exact process of designing an experience, elements of design, and learn tips and tricks on saving costs but delivering high quality looking events. Students will go away with activities on each day that will prepare them to design and deliver a party within their own home on the third day of class. 

This class will not only teach them how to plan and execute a party with clarity and responsibility but it also teaches key leadership skills that will help them as they progress. They will learn to budget, communicate, delegate and problem solve.

Who Am I? 
I am an experienced community organizer and I have been organizing events for over 10 years. I have certification in event planning and I think I could probably live off of Pinterest and Youtube Event Design Content. I have organized events of all sizes, from small intimate birthday parties, 200 people wedding parties and to 500 people community festivals. I have done most of these events with zero-dollar budgets. That’s right - you read that right.

受講に必要なもの

On the final day, students will be required to show an event space they design within their homes. The students will be encouraged to use material from within their homes or work with a singular budget of either $20, $35 or $50. However, there is no requirement to purchase any additional material.

Hi There! I am so happy you are here! 

My name is Talia and I am a youth mentor and growth coach. I help young people build the skills they need for success in school and life. 

I strongly believe our youth are the future leaders who will solve the crises the world is facing today. However, in order for our youth to unleash their potential, they must be equipped with the skills to succeed and communicate effectively. 

This is where I come in! 

I work with young people as a coach to help them build the essential life skills needed to succeed in school and life. 

I offer classes for different age groups focused on skill-building in the areas of: 
- Study Skills 
- Healthy Habits 
- Writing (All levels) 
- Public Speaking 
- Growth Mindset 

I empower students to take charge of their health, academic journey and embrace their potential. I do this by building their overall awareness of the world around them, recognizing their individual strengths and supporting them in enhancing their areas of growth. 

I try to use art and drama as much as I can in my classes to encourage learning through creativity. 

A little more about my background: 

I have been working with young people of all ages for over 12 years in various teaching roles. I am able to make students feel comfortable and enjoy the learning process.  

# 1 -  I operated a childcare business for over 10 years where I taught preschool and afterschool programs for children between the ages of 1-12. 

# 2 - I have been an academic and life coach for high school and university students teaching critical thinking, writing and presentation skills. 

# 3 - I have directed community theatre and enjoy using theatre techniques to build confidence in students.  

# 4 - I am also a community organizer and I have organized several community festivals and events for young people where I have also presented before large crowds ranging from 50 to 1000 people. 

# 5 - I run drama workshops with kids in the community. I use fun drama activities to help build confidence in kids and help them with their public speaking skills.

# 5 - I am fluent in Urdu and English.

When I am not coaching awesome young people I work as a consultant for local governments where I tackle complex social issues that face our individual communities. I have a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in International Relations and Public Policy.  My background has equipped me with strong communication and writing skills. I always bring a global aspect to my classes to enhance the worldview of my students.
