This is intended as a long-term commitment. Each enrollment will introduce the next 4 patterns/rules.
Learners will gain strategies, learn rules about patterns and grammar....in which to develop and/or strengthen skills in reading and spelling, as well as reading comprehension, and reading and writing fluency skills. It will also provide learners with practice for oral reading and oral language development.
As a former elementary school teacher and current Orton-Gillingham instructor, I have several years experience working with students utilizing various methods and curricula to develop students’ foundational literacy skills.

Assessments Offered
Learners are assessed during the first class to get an idea of strengths and weaknesses. Students will be assessed informally during each class, which will “drive” instruction/homework.Grades Offered
Dyslexia, Language Disorders, English Language Learners, (Anyone wanting explicit spelling, reading, language classes.) All ages, skill levels.
3 files available upon enrollmentHandouts (Student Recording Sheets) will be provided before each class. A printer for weekly printouts for each lesson. A 3-ring binder or folder for each lesson for future reference. (A notebook to write lessons in if choosing not to print handouts.) Pencil. Tactile surface: sandpaper, sponge, any textured surface.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
