In this private tutoring session I will support your learner with specific math skills that they are struggling with. As a former classroom teacher, I know that many students need individual support that is sometimes lost in a classroom of 30. I have a passion for teaching math and helping students to have that "ah ha" moment! I love planning lessons that are specific to each learner. At enrollment, I will ask what specific skills your learner needs more support with. You can even send me a picture of the work/types of problems that your learner is needing help with. Then I will prepare my lessons according to your learner's needs. I will make the instruction interactive and if at all possible, hands on. This individual and specialized session will give your learner instruction and time to practice each skill. During my lessons, I focus a lot on giving specific and positive reinforcement. I want your child to come out of my class with confidence and maybe even a new found love for math! ***If you feel your student needs a longer tutoring session or you need a different time/day, send me a message and I would be more than happy to work with you to set something up!***

Supplies will be dependent on what skills I will be working on with the student. I will try to keep supplies limited to common household items or common school supplies. If there are any supplies needed or sheets printed, I will post a message in the classroom informing you of the needed supplies at least 24 hours prior to class.

Hello there! My name is Miss Samantha and I can't wait to be your child's Outschool teacher! I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and I hold an Arizona K-8 Teaching Certificate. I have 8 years of teaching experience and I have been teaching online for the last 3 years! I have experience teaching students between the ages of 7 and 13 in all core subjects as well as English as a Second Language. I also have experience with small group instruction and tutoring. My passion lies with teaching math, science, and baking. I love making math enjoyable and approachable for students! While teaching, it is very important to me to appeal to all different Lerners and guide them in a way that will help them on their journey to being successful mathematicians! In my free time I love to cook, bake, and do woodworking projects with my husband! I have a 4 year old son and I am a dog mom to 2 sweet dogs named Blitz and Gracie.
