Students will establish great flute posture, embouchure, tone, articulation, and will prepare scales and repertoire. We will also establish great breathing, finger placement, and body alignment.

Students will have weekly goals to work toward before each lesson through daily practice time. Students will not be expected to perfect every goal each week, but will need to put forth effort every week through individual practice time.

Student and teacher will work together to choose appropriate exercises and activities for weekly instruction and practice. This may include a flute method book and/or solo flute music to be purchased by the learner.
