Goals include:
-count, read, write numbers to 50
-understand place value: ones, tens, bundles of tens
-understand the commutative and associative property of addition, and identity property of zero
-understand the relationship between addition and subtraction
-skip count to 50 by 2s, 5s, 10s
-add/subtract within 20
-compare lengths, represent and interpret data
-learn to tell time on a digital and analog clock to the hour, half hour
-learn the value of coins
-learn 2D shapes, composing/decomposing circles/rectangles, halves/quarters/whole

Each week we may have 1 or 2 problems or a worksheet to do at home. We will discuss this during class. I will send out a homework sheet (if necessary) and we will review the homework at the beginning of the next lesson. Homework is not mandatory but is highly encouraged. It should only take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.
