In this one on one class, reading, spelling, or writing  practice is the main goal. The class will be focused on the individual learner and their specific needs for one or more of the listed subjects. This class is set up to meet once a week as an ongoing class. 

I am certified in teaching students with dyslexia and other reading differences. I have experience working with learners from Kindergarten through 12th grade in teaching reading, spelling, and writing. We will focus on structured literacy and phonics based strategies that will help students become more confident. Reading and Spelling skills work together, so a lot of times the skills and practices will overlap. 

Classes might include:
*Phonological awareness practice
*Decoding skills
*Sound segmentation for spelling practice 
*Listening for specific sounds in words
*Reading nonsense words 
*Practice in writing sentences or paragraphs

Attendance and Refund Policy:
For this class, lessons are customized to each individual student. For this reason, a 48 hour notice is required to alter the scheduled class time. 
A learner is considered absent/no show ten minutes into class.  If a learner is not present, I will wait until the 10 minute mark.  After 10 minutes, I will mark the end of class by  posting  in the classroom that class has ended.
