Although the age range is 13-18, I am able and willing to accept students of any age who need help with math. Do you need help with math homework? Do you need to do corrections on an assignment or a test and need help with that? Do you want to study for an upcoming test? Do you have trouble understanding some parts of your math lessons? This one-on-one tutoring session can help you with that. We will work together to help you overcome the problems you're having in math. We'll use the whiteboard to solve problems together and talk through the ideas. If there is more than one way to solve a problem, we can look at both; if there's a shortcut or a trick (there are so many in math!) we'll talk about those too. Bring your math homework, review material, or assignments/tests to be corrected, and we will go through each problem step by step with a clear explanation of how to solve the problem (or where you went wrong the first time, if you're doing corrections). From middle school math to algebra, geometry, trig and even calculus, I can help you understand concepts and find errors in your work. We will talk about how to fix those mistakes and how to avoid them in the future. With your subscription fee, you get the once-a-week lesson plus 7 days a week messaging support for difficult homework problems. You can message me any time, and I will respond back in between lessons - How do I solve this problem? What does this mean? Is this the right answer/right way to solve this? Hello! I am a middle school teacher teaching math, Spanish, and English as a second language (ESL). I also have a background in business, having helped get several businesses up and running and working in Human Resources for 4 years. I hold master's degrees in math, curriculum, and business administration. I believe learning should be fun, and so should teaching! I always say, if I'm bored, I know my students are, so I never let it happen. Games, fun activities, songs, and silliness are the rule in my classroom every day. I also believe strongly in personalized instruction, reaching students where they are in the learning process, whether they are struggling or ahead of their peers. I speak Spanish fluently and I'm learning Chinese and ASL right now also! I have also worked professionally making specialty cakes and I've done a lot of work with fondant and frosting techniques, and a ton of crafts, like cross stitch, knitting, crocheting, and making homemade piñatas.
I have been teaching math both online and in the classroom for years, everything from middle school remedial level math all the way to AP calculus. I've taught everything from exploratory Spanish all the way to Spanish 5 as well, and I've done bilingual education in social studies, math, science, and various other elective courses.レビュー
