Please note: This is a one-on-one, private art lesson meant to accommodate your schedule. Message Rozine with the BEST day and time that works for you and your learner. Learners will have Rozine's undivided attention exploring drawing techniques. During this course, students draw several different cute, cartoon characters from their favorite video games, cartoons, movies, or television shows. Class does not have to focus on one theme and can change from week to week. Each lesson is...
Research shows there is a significant connection between arts and achievement. Drawing and coloring develops many talents, such as: • fine motor skills • spatial reasoning • objectivity • visualization • self-discipline • creative problem-solving
Since 2005, Rozine taught cartooning classes to elementary-aged, inner-city children in Chicago and Los Angeles. She is the illustrator, author, and publisher of several all-age coloring activity books. She creates a relaxing atmosphere, encouraging connection amongst others, as well as confident self-expression.
While it is beneficial for the enrolled to have knowledge of the characters they wish to learn how to draw, artists do not need to have any account for any app or website to participate in private art lessons. Students will need either a sketchpad, or 5-10 sheets of drawing or printer paper. Pencils and erasers are a must (unless artist is drawing on a digital device). Coloring utensils can be crayons, colored pencils, and/or markers. A Sharpie marker is optional. Rulers may be needed. Students can frame their artwork by stapling or taping it to a larger sheet of colored construction paper (also optional). Paint is by family discretion. Please let Rozine know in advance if you prefer to learn how to use a specific tool, material, or utensil.
Inspired by Waldorf teaching methods, Rozine encourages independent thinking and creative problem solving in the classroom. Like the title of her first book, "Live Life For A Living," Rozine is living a dream making a living doing what she loves....
