I have created this four-week ongoing class for preschoolers in shape, color and math, we will meet once a week. I will begin class with a brief introduction and simple rules and expectations, we will begin class with a short dance or song to help young preschoolers get the wiggles out and get ready to learn. (I will attach video below.) We will practice reciting numbers 1-10, we will play simple math games and learn shapes and colors. I will use many teaching tools, numbers, shapes and letter cards, whiteboard, and I will end class with a book. Children will engage in fun bingo games to reinforce learning and I will ask question to check for understanding. I will also use Manycam to display shapes and numbers to engage young learner attention. The first two classes will focus on math and counting, and the last two classes will focus on shapes and colors. Children will take turns counting aloud and counting objects if they feel comfortable to do so and we will make a simple shape and color book. My teaching style is simple everyone has an opportunity to share in a safe learning environment. Your child will be encouraged to share only if they are comfortable to speak and children will take turns speaking. Children do not need to have any prior knowledge; I look forward to seeing your learner in my class!!
