In this fun, interactive ongoing weekly class, starting with the Numberblocks theme song, little learners can show and tell their favourite Numberblocks toy or merchandise (any toy is just fine!) while working on a Numberblocks themed colouring or activity worksheet. Each learner will take a turn to share their toy and show the class their worksheet before listening to their friends take a turn. We will practise counting to 10 each week (forwards and backwards!) before meeting my Numberblocks math link cubes which we will use to complete a new math learning activity together each week. Some weeks learners may also get to meet Zero and Numberblocks Eleven to Twenty! No experience of number recognition or counting is required for this class. Learners may join and leave at any time as lessons do not build upon previous weeks or present a sequential curriculum. CLASS SCHEDULE (all sections of that week will follow the same activity and will include a colouring sheet to print off): Week Beginning (please note UK date format): Activities from Numberblocks 11-20 MathLink Cubes Set 04/11/2024 - Twelve - Maths Skills: number 12; arrays 11/11/2024 - The Way of the Rectangle - Maths Skills: numbers that make rectangle shapes; arrays 18/11/2024 - Ride the Rays - Maths Skills: solving problems involving arrays 25/11/2024 - Thirteen - Maths Skills: number 13; 13 is 10 and 3 02/12/2024 - NO CLASSES THIS WEEK 09/12/2024 - Fourteen - Maths Skills: number 14; 14 is 10 and 4; doubling numbers 16/12/2024 - Fourteen - Maths Skills: doubling numbers 23/12/2024 - HOLIDAYS - NO CLASSES THIS WEEK 30/12/2024 - Fifteen - Maths Skills: number 15; 15 is 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 06/01/2025 - Step Squads - Maths Skills: other numbers are made of consecutive numbers (3, 6, 10, and 15) 13/01/2025 - Fifteen - Maths Skills: number 15 20/01/2025 -On Your Head - Maths Skills: place value numbers 1 to 15

Students will practise their fine motor skills as they complete the colouring or math activity and practise their social skills during show and tell.Learners will learn or practise counting 1- 20 and begin to build a foundation of early math skills such as one more/one less, number bonds, doubling and halving, recognising amounts and numerals and simple addition and subtraction.

Each week a printable worksheet/colouring sheet will be made available from the classroom. Bring your favourite toy for show and tell (doesn't need to be Numberblocks related). Markers, pencils or crayons. Small objects to count with such as math cubes, small blocks, cereal loops, dried pasta etc. (optional, but most young children benefit having physical objects to support counting).
