This 30 minute class will allow learners to see themselves through art. We will create a self portrait using materials found in nature such as leaves, grass, twigs, flowers, whatever they can find outside! After we introduce ourselves, we'll share where we found our art pieces (in the backyard, on a walk, at the park, etc). Then we'll take a look in the mirror and start laying out our portraits. Along the way learners will answer questions such as: Why did you choose the materials you did? What are our 5 senses? How are they used? What is your favorite part about your face? How do we interpret facial expressions?
