Nature Chronicles is an engaging, quarter-long science class designed for 2nd and 3rd graders. This program combines nature journaling with nature scientific exploration to help young learners discover and understand the natural world. The curriculum focuses on seasonal changes, biomes, ecosystems, and habitats. During the fall quarter, learners explore specific fall-related themes such as leaf changes, animal hibernation, and migration. The class incorporates home projects and activities like leaf rubbings, seed collection, and observing animal behavior, all while guiding learners on how to create detailed nature journals filled with sketches, notes, and observations.

This course emphasizes developing observation skills, encouraging scientific inquiry, and integrating art to enhance creativity and retention. Special features include meeting journaling sessions, observing nature videos, and involvement through 2 at-home activities. Learners will give an end of quarter presentation of their favorite journal entries and what they have learned through the quarter.

Teaching Method

•	Interactive lessons with live demonstrations and models when available.
•	Learners will participate in guided drawing and note-taking activities based on their observations.
•	Learners are encouraged to share their work and discuss their findings with peers.

My teaching style is interactive and learner-centered. I focus on encouraging curiosity and creativity while providing support and guidance. Each learner is given the freedom to explore and express their unique perspectives on nature. This class is a small-group structured class, limited to four learners, to enhance my ability to focus on the needs of each child while creating opportunities for the learners to interact. This class was designed with homeschooling families in mind. If you are interested in tutoring or learning support please contact me directly.

Enroll your learner for an exciting journey into the world of Nature Chronicles, where learning and creativity go hand in hand!
