In this class students will be introduced to the fascinating world of fungi and mushrooms! Fungi are some of earth's most unique organisms. Resilient, intelligent, and found on every continent (including Antartica) fungus and mushrooms, play a major role in most ecosystems. Students will learn about the biology of fungi and mushrooms. They'll learn about the unique structure and purpose of mushroom colonies, and how these colonies affect larger ecosystems. Students will also learn about safe mushroom hunting and identification skills.
I have a Bachelors in Environmental Science & Policy from Florida State University, where I studied mushrooms as a part of connected ecosystems. I'm a passionate truffle and mushroom hunter and am grateful for a platform to share about the incredible fungi of the forest!
