In this class on opinion writing, students will (appropriately) use the sandwich method of writing a 5-7 sentence essay explaining why their favorite food is the best food ever! We will begin the class talking about opinions vs. facts, and what types of words we can use to express our opinions in a convincing manner. We will then move into the writing process starting with pre writing and ending with a finished essay. Students will be encouraged to share their writings and offer and receive helpful hints during the class. Students should be independent writers, although support will be given with spelling and grammar.

Since I was a young girl I wanted to be a teacher! I love teaching children about topics that excite me! I was a classroom teacher for 11 years teaching between 4th graders and middle schoolers! After becoming a mom I left the brick and mortar classroom to be home with my 2 growing boys, but missed being in the classroom. I then began teaching English to foreign students online and have once again fell in love with teaching in a new and exciting way!
