音楽鑑賞 - 生ピアノ演奏によるガイド付きリスニング

Students will be encouraged to think of descriptive words to go with the style of music being played. The teacher will guide the students to describe the different moods of the music generally, as in “quiet and slow” and then more descriptively such as “thoughtful and reminiscent”. The teacher will have the students imagine a scene in their mind that the music could be portraying, and students will have time to share their ideas with each other. This will be a creative time and also a listening exercise to gradually increase student’s attention span to the music over the course of the class. Each one-time course will be a little different- no class will ever be exactly the same & we will go over different music in each class!
