Join my reading and spelling group tutoring sessions! My lessons are tailored for each group, and I'll be using the Orton-Gillinham approach.

The Orton-Gillingham approach to reading and spelling, often referred to as the OG approach, is the recognized gold standard for addressing dyslexia and other literacy difficulties. This method provides customized lessons, interactive games, and engaging activities to help your child master reading and spelling. It's like learning the secret code to unlock the English language! I'll teach them all the sounds, rules, and different ways words can be put together. And we do it in a really fun and hands-on way.

This type of learning has been great for kids who are just starting to read, those who are finding it a bit tricky, or even for kids who've been diagnosed with dyslexia or a specific learning disability. I'm here to give them the extra help and practice they need to become strong readers.

We will learn the sounds and their spellings, spelling rules, and syllable patterns in a logical order. Each session, we will practice what we have learned in the previous lesson and then learn a new skill. We will work on identifying sounds, blending, reading and writing complete sentences, and reading texts with fluency.

Students enrolling in this course should be able to: They should independently be able to spell words like "bug", "met", "lot", "cat", and "it".
