Learners will need a couple of supplies for painting. If you already have some supplies feel free to use what you have! You WILL need paints, brushes, and some canvases to complete this class.

For this class, I like canvas paper. It's thinner and cheaper than purchasing traditional canvases. I think it's perfect for practicing techniques. If you would like to use a regular canvas for the artwork portion of class feel free, but the canvas paper will work just fine! 

I recommend a set of paints so you have multiple colors to choose from. A set with larger tubes is great if you are doing multiple classes.  Each week I will be sending out a list of paint colors we will be using for that particular class but in general, all classes can be completed with red, yellow, blue, black, and white paint. On most class days learners will have the option to choose their colors. 

A set of brushes is also a great idea to experiment and learn about different brush sizes and shapes! The brush set linked, is my favorite sizes and shapes. You might already have some at home!

Acrylic paints can be hard to get off of furniture and out of clothing. Please make sure students have a space to work that is ok to get a bit messy. I recommend wearing old clothes that you won't mind if they get a little paint on them. Acrylic does come off of hair and skin with just a little soap and water.
