If movies take us on a journey, then their story structure is the road map.  

Designed for young storytellers and aspiring screenwriters, this creative writing class uses the lens of moviemaking to teach story elements (character, setting, plot, conflict, resolution) and 3-Act Structure (beginning, middle, end) to even the most reluctant writers.  

Students will watch a short animated film, play a zany game of storytelling Mad Libs, and learn how to use the SSWBSF (Somewhere, Somebody, Wanted, But, So, Finally) story-mapping strategy to strengthen their writing skills.
