This class is a fun way to practice academic skills usually lost over the summer months. We will have a summer reading challenge and STEM challenges. Learners will have time to socialize as well as complete a math and journal entry each week. This class is ongoing meaning learners may enter or leave at any time because classes do not build upon each other. Journal topics will be decided by students but Math problems will be based on second and third grade common core standards. The math problems will be based on the schedule below; Week of June 1: Addition, Week of June 8: Subtraction, Week of June 15: Subtraction, Week of June 22: No Class Week of June 29: Money Week of July 6: Time Week of July 13: measurements, Week of July 20: bar graphs, Week of July 27: Word Problems
