Students will improve their understanding of savings options available to increase the value of money. They will also develop skills for calculating interest rates and predicting the future values of money. These learning goals will be accomplished through objectives that motivate students to
1. Consider alternative ways to help money grow through savings.
2. Apply simple math concepts to determine the future value of money.
3. Become knowledgeable of the concept of investment risk.

Students will be given a reflection assignment each day. This reflection assignment will involve the students in writing down what they learned in the completed session and what they need to learn. Also, some classwork may lead to having students do a bit of research on their own. This assignment step is important in helping students develop independent learning skills.
